Happy 2008

Well, a new year... I have been planning for the past couple of weeks to actually begin blogging - especially since I added a couple of features to my blog software (Captain's Log). So then, I thought, "Wow, a new year. That would be a great opportunity to write something profound!" Unfortunately, I have nothing profound to write. So, I guess this is going to simply be random ramblings...

Last year at this time, I decided to grow my beard again. So, I quit shaving. Periodic trimming is much better than daily shaving! Well, I shaved it off the other day and it HURT! Even after using clippers to knock it down to stubble and using shaving gel and a razor, it was painful. A photo taken a couple of days before shaving:

Did you know that only 40 - 45% of Americans make New Year's Resolutions? (It used to be 80%.) Only 25% of the resolutions are still alive after just one week! We're really disciplined, aren't we?

Well, 2007 wasn't a great year, so I am not too sad about saying goodbye to it. I am very happy to say 'Hello' to 2008 as it is going to be a GREAT year.

Live Long and Prosper...
